長生きの象徴である亀の甲羅に見立てた六角 形を並べた亀甲柄の一種で、七福神の一神である必勝の神「毘沙門天」が着用している鎧の柄が名前の由来です。
A kind of hexagonal pattern of tortoiseshell design as symbol of the longevity. Name of “Bishamon-kikko" is originated from one of the seven gods of happiness, Bishamonten who used tortoiseshell design for his armor.
